Cops in Spain Arrest Mexican Los Zetas’ European Cartel Boss

Authorities in Spain introduced the arrest of a 54-year-old Moroccan man who they declare was the chief in Europe of the fearsome Mexican cartel generally known as Los Zetas. The arrest comes quickly after U.S. authorities revealed that the Sinaloa Cartel and Cartel Jalisco New Generation had near 44,000 members in 100 international locations across the globe.

The arrest occurred this week in Madrid, when authorities arrested 5 drug traffickers and seized near 1,000 kilograms of cocaine and €200,000. The head of the legal group has been recognized as a person named Said, 54, who was described as very elusive and troublesome to trace. According to authorities, Said was based mostly in Madrid however expanded the presence of Los Zetas to different elements of Spain.

Spain’s National Police carried out the arrest, together with U.S. Homeland Security and Colombia’s National Police. Spanish authorities launched a brief video of the particular arrest.

The data launched by Spanish authorities doesn’t present any participation by Mexican authorities in the arrest of the Los Zetas chief, though that legal group relies in Mexico.
