Sidney Powell Alleges Falsehoods In Georgia Trump Indictment

Lawyer and former prosecutor Sidney Powell alleged false claims within the indictment in opposition to former President Donald Trump in Georgia.

Ms. Powell, who’s a co-defendant within the case, contradicted a number of claims within the indictment in an Aug. 30 court docket submitting, asking for her case to be tried individually from the opposite 18 defendants, together with President Trump.

In reality, Ms. Powell asserted, that although her title was printed on the SullivanStrickler contract, she by no means signed it.

“There was no contract for SullivanStrickler to conduct forensic imaging of the Coffee County Voting Systems,” her submitting stated.

“Ms. Powell signed no such contract. … Ms. Powell did not plan or organize the Coffee County trip. … Ms. Powell did not request SullivanStrickler to undertake that project,” it stated.

As for the breach of the tools, the agency claimed in a separate lawsuit that its workers believed they have been approved to repeat the information. They stated at the least one Coffee County election official was current throughout their work.

“A unanimous Coffee County Election Board gave permission for the forensic inspection, and nothing was stolen,” the Powell submitting stated.

The prosecution rests on the assertion that the county officers themselves weren’t approved to make such a call.

Ms. Powell additionally argued that she wasn’t part of any conspiracy on behalf of President Trump as a result of she wasn’t concerned in a lot of the actions alleged within the indictment, wasn’t in touch with most people allegedly concerned, and was actually largely at odds with them.
