Texas Military Seizes City-Owned Border Park — Ejects Federal Agents

The Texas Military Department seized a city-owned golf course situated within the busiest border crossing level alongside the Rio Grande. The Texas National Guard then ejected U.S. Border Patrol brokers from the park and took whole management of this part of the U.S.-Mexico border.

Border Patrol officers informed Breitbart Texas that Texas National Guard items rapidly moved into Shelby Park in Eagle Pass on Thursday. The guardsmen erected obstacles across the park and instructed Border Patrol brokers to go away the world.

“This move only serves to raise tensions at the ground level between the State and Border Patrol agents who are bound by policy set in Washington D.C.,” the official said. Breitbart Texas reached out to the Office of the Texas Governor and the Texas Military Department with questions concerning the State’s authorized authority to lock federal brokers out of the park. Border Patrol brokers have the statutory proper below federal regulation to enter any property, together with personal property, a supply working below U.S. Customs and Border Protection said.

The park has been the scene of confrontation between the Border Patrol and Texas’s efforts to safe the border on this space.
